Halli Labs The latest news buzz in the techie world is revolving around a four-month old start up and the dream job provider Google. Google – the multinational and the dream organization of youngsters, an organization where there is rigorous procedure for candidates has itself acquired a start-up.

Google has acquired a four-month old start-up named Halli Labs (www.hallilabs.com) which in Bengaluru. The start-up focusses on developing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. It is interesting to note that Halli means in village in Kannada but no one knows the reason behind having this name.

The start-up announced on 12 July 2017 that they will be joining the Billionaire team to get more technology and information which will allow more people to keep hands on it. This news was confirmed by Google’s Vice – President, Product Management, Caesar Sengupta on Wednesday via twitter. The tweet welcomed both the core members of the start-up about whom will be tell below.

The start-up’s main focus areas were about developing solutions to traditional problems with the help of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language processing technologies. They work by providing solutions to old problems by applying modern techniques. In this manner they will be providing humans with powers of superhuman which will allow us to do our tasks in a better manner.

These wonders are happening by the creative and energetic mind play of Pankaj Gupta who is an alumnus of Stanford University and Indian Institute Technology, Delhi. According to some sources he had worked at Twitter in Sn Francisco for five years. Then joined Indian Hospitality start-up named Stayzilla and then in the month of April this year he founded Halli Labs. PradhumanJhala is another core member of this start-up. He too had worked at Twitter and Stayzilla with Pankaj Gupta.

It was revealed that one of the major work of Halli Labs includes speech recognition along with others mentioned above. It is said that their program is aimed at a large Non-English speaking population and let us not forget that our country contains a larger proportion of this strata. However much detailed regarding the financial angle were not disclosed.
